Flexigum paste
Elastic bitumen mastic
Flexigum Paste is a bituminous elastomeric sealant of superior waterproofing properties, flexibility and elasticity in a wide range of temperatures (-20°c to 100°c).
Application is simple and easy, required no heating. Flexigum Paste is also suitable for application on vertical surfaces. It is applied cold, and is neither intoxicating nor flammable.
Flexigum Paste is used as a complementary waterproofing material for Flexigum, at corners, edges of elements, holes etc. Flexigum Paste is also used for waterproofing of basement walls, bathroom floors and small balcony floors.

Method of application:
Before application, clean the surface thoroughly to remove all dirt.
- As a complementary waterproofing material for Flexigum, apply the Flexigum Paste at 3-4 layers of 1.5 kg/m² each one. Allow to dry for 6-8 hours between the layers.
- To waterproof bathrooms & shower floors prior to tiling:
- Roll with cement mortar at all wall-floor seams.
- Apply Primer 105, using 300 gr/m², over horizontal surfaces and the rolled seams. Allow to dry 1-3 hours.
- Apply a coat of Flexigum Paste on the horizontal surfaces and rolled seams in quantity of 1.5 kg/m². Allow to dry for 6-8 hours.
- Apply a second coat of Flexigum Paste in quantity of 1.5 kg/m². Allow to dry 48 hours.
- Fill in sand, lay the tiles, or lay ceramic tiles directly onto the sealing layer through adhesion.
3. To waterproofing basement walls:
- In case the basement floor was sealed with bitumen sheets, apply low heat over the sheet to deposit the dirt and bring out melted bitumen. When the concrete surfaces are dusty, wash with clean water and let them dry for 2-5 hours, depend on weather conditions.
- Apply 3 coats of Flexigum Paste on the surfaces.use 1.5 kg/m² per each coat. It is recommended to brush thoroughly the first layer of Flexigum Paste towards the substrate, in order to prevent formation of bubbles. Allow to dry for 6-8 hours between layers.
- In case of deep basement (more than 4 m), apply 4 coats of Flexigum Paste as specified above.
- Allow to dry for 5 days (with no rain)
- .Spread a Geotextile Matt, 200 gr/sqm, over the waterproofing layer and then, spread protection sheet made of plain HDPE, 0.5 mm, as PROTECT-5 prior to covering.
4. To waterproof small patio floors prior to tiling:
General:
The sealed infrastructure shall be a stable concrete infrastructure and not
foamed concrete (light concrete).
- Apply a layer of Primer 105, 300 gm/m², over the horizontal surfaces and the rolled seams. Allow to dry for 1 hour.
- Apply 3 layers of Flexigum Paste on the horizontal surfaces and the rolled seams. Use 1.5 kg/m² per each coat.Sink Polyfabric (polyester fabric) in the fresh material between first and second layers. Less qualified alternative is using glass net.
Allow to dry for 6-8 hours between the layers.
c. In case of patio floor bigger then 15 m², apply 4 layers of Flexigum Paste in
each layer and sink Polyfabric (polyester fabric) in the fresh material between
first and second layers.
d. Allow to dry for 7 days (without rain) prior to tiling.
e. Fill in sand and lay the tiles, or lay ceramic tiles by direct adhesion onto the
sealing layer.
Consumption
1.5 kg. per 1 square meter in each layer.
Drying Time
To touch 6-8 hours. Final drying - one week.
Packaging 18 kg
